Eric Richards

Eric John Richards passed away from a brave battle with cancer on March 13, 2023.  Eric was born September 19, 1959 in Wyandotte, Michigan.  He was one of six children and grew up in a close knit family.  As a high school athlete, he held the record for the high jump for many years.  After moving to San Diego, California to live with his uncle, he pursued his love of dance.  Eric performed in a production show in the Bahamas before moving to Las Vegas to perform in Jubilee at Bally’s Hotel where he was an understudy principal dancer.  It is in Jubilee where he met his wife Barbie who was also a dancer.  Eric and Barbie were married for almost 32 years and enjoyed their life together with all their fur babies.  Eric was an avid golfer and bodybuilder who also had a passion and love for playing the guitar.  Eric was a kind and a very honest man who retired from the hospitality business after over 25 years.

Eric is preceded in death by his mother, Donna and survived by his wife Barbara (Barbie); father Richard; sister, Dawn; brothers, Paul, Kevin, Chris, and Greg; and his nieces and nephews.  Eric loved his kitties, Charley, Milo, Penelope, and Scarlett and all his other fur babies who have preceded him in death.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1PM, Friday, June 23, 2023 at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
