Adeline Ann Alba, affectionately known and called by many as “Peggy” was born the only child of Herbert and Louise Hutchison in Madisonville, Louisiana on July 30th, 1939. Weighing only 3 pounds at birth, her bassinet was an actual shoe box.
Adeline grew up partly in New Orleans and Slidell, Louisiana. She realized her creative talents early on in life. She attended St. Mary’s Academy in New Orleans where she was a senior member of the National Quill and Scroll Honorary Journalism Society, an editor for the school paper, created artwork for the yearbook committee, and shined brightly as a homecoming court maiden before graduating with honors.
Right out of high school, Adeline moved to Los Angeles, California with her cousin, Wanda. She took a job doing magazine layouts. Soon after, her parents left Louisiana and bought a home in L.A. to be close to her. On February 8th, 1963 Adeline married her first husband, Virgil Faciane. They lived together in the house next door to her parents while starting their family. In 1964 their first son, Derek, was born. Adeline chose to be a stay-at-home mom and housewife. Being an only child, she always dreamed of having a big family of her own. So, they welcomed their babies, Byron in 1965, Carla in 1966, and Keith in 1969.
Not long after, the young family moved to Orange County, California. And in 1975 their fourth son, Michael, was born. While he was still a baby, Adeline’s marriage took a turn that led her to separate from her first husband and move back home with her parents in Los Angeles with all five children in tow. During her separation, Adeline and Virgil made the effort to salvage their marriage and family. Although that didn’t work out, they were happy to finally have a second daughter, Stephanie, in 1979.
Now a single mother of six, Adeline was forced to join the workforce. While searching for the right career she took a dental technician class. After graduating in 1981 she took a job at a dental lab where she met a young man who would soon become the love of her life, Angelito (Lito) Alba. Although Lito was 20 years younger, she had found an everlasting love with him that has stood the test of time.
They moved to Riverside County together in 1987 and were married on October 17th, 1992. By then Adeline had left the dental technician field and became an EVS Tech at Parkview Hospital in Riverside, and later at Corona Regional Medical Center where she retired in 2010. Wanting to spend more time with her daughters, two years later they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where she lived out the remainder of her life.
Adeline spent most of her life enjoying all the things she loved. She played the piano/keyboard every chance she got. Memories of her beautiful melodies fill our hearts. She painted some of the most beautiful portraits using her God-given artistic talents. It was so amazing how she could paint a perfect portrait using colored pencils. She was also very talented at sewing. And making costumes for plays brought her so much joy. Never an idle hand, Adeline was always building and creating something. From desks and bookshelves to bedroom closets, her carpentry skills showed in her work. Not only was she an expert with her hands, but she could also through down in the kitchen. As a matter of fact, that is one of the things that stole her husband’s heart. One bite of her fried chicken and he was all in.
Along with her husband, Lito, Adeline experienced many happy and fun times doing things she really enjoyed. Spending time with her family and friends having get togethers and parties was her favorite. She liked going to the casinos to play video poker, going to the movie theater to watch the latest blockbusters, having dinner dates with Lito, and even spending time outdoors on camping and fishing trips. She liked tv game shows, news programs, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs play football. With a love for pets, Adeline has loved and lost a few. She never stopped missing her Persian cat, “Lily” and her Pomeranian, “Sugar Bear”. She also had a thing for “angels” and collected many figurines and statues over the years.
Adeline will truly be remembered for her faith in the Lord. God gave her a heart full of unconditional love and compassion, forgiveness, honesty, and generosity. She was baptized in the Holy Spirit and gave her life to Christ at Melodyland Christian Center in the 70’s. She became a member of Remnant Ministries when she moved to Las Vegas in 2012.
After being diagnosed with Parkinson, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis, Adeline was still able to enjoy some of the things she loved. Even after becoming wheelchair bound, she often enjoyed karaoke and watching movies with her family. Whenever there was a family karaoke day, she would always ask Carla and Stephanie to sing “Endless Love” together. It was her favorite love song.
Adeline took her last breath on October 2nd, 2025 to join in everlasting with her loved ones gone before her: her parents, Herb and Louise; her first husband, Virgil; her sons, Derek and Keith; her grandson, William; her parents-in-law, and several other close relatives and friends.
Adeline’s legacy remains with those she leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Angelito Alba; her children, Byron Faciane; Carla Anderson (and son-in-law, Barry); (daughter-in-law, Victoria); Michael Faciane (and daughter-in-law, Terikka); Stephanie Amora (and son-in-law, Jose); her grandchildren, Gary Faciane, Kayla Harris, Cameren Faciane, Michael Lee Jr., Arian Lee, Robert Lee, Regina Billups, Reginal Havard Jr., Keith Faciane Jr., Aaron Faciane, Eric Faciane, Daniel Faciane, Andre Faciane, Micah Shyne Faciane, Kayla Faciane, Ezra Amora, Ava Amora; and Alissa Amora; her great-grandchildren, Lilliana Rojas and Donnie Lopez; Isreal, Zion, and Aysia Lee; Dominique, Cory Jr., Queon, and Trenton McDonald; Isla, Superior, Alaia, and Nalani Lee; Zamora Wallace and Zalayah Billups; Romeo, Royal, and Rio Havard; Genesis, Leviticah, and Exodus Faciane; Eric Jr. and Scarlet Rose Faciane; and Matteo Madrigal-Faciane; her beloved companion and protector, her Pomeranian doggy “Sophie”; and many more relatives and friends.
“In my Father's house are many mansions:if it were not so, I would have told you.I go to prepare a place for you.And if I go and prepare a place for you,I will come again, and receive you unto myself;that where I am, there ye may be also.”
