Barbara June Dombrosky

Las Vegas, NV - Barbara June Dombrosky (nee Hawkins), 89 of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on December 16, 2021, in Las Vegas.

Barbara was born in Bicknell, Indiana to Alfred and Gladys Hawkins on October 10, 1932.

Barbara attended Bicknell High School followed by nursing school.

Barbara married Richard Dombrosky on April 18, 1954, prior to moving to Chicago and Terra Haute, Indiana. In 1959 they settled in Marlton, NJ.

Barbara worked for a pharmacy in Marlton and then Clover (a department store). Barbara found time to volunteer for the Auxiliary for Memorial Hospital and enjoyed hobbies such as painting pottery and sewing dresses for herself. Richard and Barbara moved to Las Vegas in 1988. She worked part-time for Walmart for a while and was an avid reader.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Gladys Hawkins, her brother, David Hawkins, and her husband, Richard Dombrosky.

Barbara is survived by her five sons, Mark, Craig (Fran), Scott (Kathy), Keith, and Todd (and his beloved friend Deb), four grandchildren, Scott Jr. (Angelica), Jason (Caitlin), Eric (Kristina), and Amanda, a great-grandson, Noah, her brothers, Roger Hawkins (Penny) and Robert Hawkins, and several nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service is being planned for family members at the Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery at a date TBD.
