Betty Viola Mariano

Betty (Etopio) Mariano passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.

She is survived by her daughter Gale Breen, grandson Jonathan Been, both of Las Vegas, and by many nieces and nephews.

Betty is preceded by her husband, Anthony Mariano Sr., son Anthony Mariano Jr., mother Josephine, father Angelo, brothers Christopher Etiopio, Thomas Etopio, Dominic Etopio, Joseph Etiopio, all of Niagara Falls, and sister Jeanette Gemmati of Florida.

Betty was a volunteer for 10 years with the Red Cross Blood Mobile before moving to Las Vegas from Niagara Falls, New York. While in Las Vegas she was employed by the CCSD in the office at Ruby Thomas Elementary School. After she retired, she was a volunteer at Child Heaven. She knitted and crocheted afghans, slippers, and hats for different charities. Among them was Standown for the homeless held at Cashman Field. She received an award for her contributions. Betty had an extensive collection of angels from pins to statues.

There will be a viewing at Davis Funeral Home on at 9:00 A.M – 10:00 A.M. The service will be at 11:00 A.M. to be followed by the funeral at Davis Funeral Home 6200 S. Eastern, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
