In Loving Memory of Carlos Gonzalo Rodriguez Torres
Carlos Gonzalo Rodriguez Torres was born in La Paz, Bolivia, South America. From an early age, he was deeply influenced by his mother, a devoted Christian who regularly shared passages from the Bible with him. Through her guidance, Carlos developed a strong knowledge of the Scriptures and a deep respect for Jehovah God throughout his life.
As a child and young man, Carlos enjoyed playing soccer with friends in his neighborhood and participated in local competitions. Music was also an important part of his life. During his youth, he was a member of an Argentine folkloric music group, sharing his love of culture and music with others. Throughout his life, he loved and enjoyed watching sports, mainly soccer, football, and basketball. He loved how sports brought people together, how teamwork and healthy competition pushed people to be better together and as individuals.
Carlos completed his primary and secondary education in La Paz, Bolivia, and graduated from high school in 1971. In 1973, he entered the university to study Economics, demonstrating his commitment to education and personal growth.
In 1977, Carlos married the love of his life, Delia, in La Paz, Bolivia. After working in La Paz for four years, he immigrated to the United States in 1978 as a legal resident, beginning a new chapter filled with opportunity and hard work. His journey in the United States began in Tampa, Florida, where he lived for nine months before relocating to Los Angeles, California. There, he worked for Carte Blanche for one year. His dedication and exceptional performance earned him recognition from the company and was presented with an award from the CEO. This also resulted in him being selected to provide training and resulted in him relocating to Denver, Colorado. Throughout his career, Carlos received numerous awards and commendations for his outstanding work.
While in Denver, he worked with Citibank for four years before being transferred to help launch a new site in Las Vegas, Nevada. There, he continued with the same company and dedicated 30 years of service before retiring and enjoying the fruits of his hard work.
Carlos was known for his warm personality, joyful spirit, and ability to make people laugh with his stories and anecdotes. He loved being around others and brought energy, humor, and kindness wherever he went. His enthusiasm for life and genuine love for people left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Above all, Carlos deeply loved his parents and cherished the family he built with his beloved wife, Delia, and their treasured sons, Carlos and Cesar. His devotion to his family, his faith, and his friends will forever be remembered.
