Caroline Anne Wong

Caroline Anne Wong, 78, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away on October 11, 2022, she was surrounded by her children and loving husband of 55 years. Carol was born on June 30, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the oldest of three daughters of Mike and Regina Kormos. She graduated from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH, in 1966. She taught math and history at South High School in Cleveland, OH. After moving to Las Vegas, NV in 1979,she taught math at Brinley Middle School. She retired from the Clark County School District and then spent many years working alongside her husband and son at the family business. She was a lifelong gardener and volunteered as a Master Gardener. She spent many hours each week at the Nevada Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program teaching and helping others create beautiful gardens of their own. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, as well. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Regina Kormos and sister, Kathleen Vetrone. Carol is survived by her husband, Bob, their three children, Paul [Stephanie] Wong, Julie [Joe] Christensen, Michael Wong; five grandchildren; and sister, Susan [John] Firenza.
