Catherine Proudfoot

Catherine Proudfoot, born October 4, 1952 in the Bronx, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was the devoted wife of the late Frank Proudfoot whom she married in 1971. Together they built a life rooted in loyalty, family, and unconditional love.

Catherine was the proud mother of nine children and is survived by eight of them. She also leaves behind four daughters‑in‑law and three sons‑in‑law, all of whom she welcomed as part of her family. Her legacy continues through 23 grandchildren, 11 great‑grandchildren, and 3 more on the way, as well as her two younger brothers.

She was a woman who gave without hesitation. Catherine would go without so others could have what they needed, especially her children and grandchildren. Family was the center of her world, and she showed her love through quiet strength, sacrifice, and constant support.

Catherine found joy in simple things: her cat Precious curled beside her, a good book, puzzles and the music of Billy Joel. She was a loyal New York Mets and Giants fan, cheering them on through every season. She loved people openly and without conditions, and anyone who knew her felt that warmth.

Her legacy is the family she built, the love she gave, and the countless ways she put others first. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
