At the tender age of 92, Cecilia Sotelo Parayno of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully on May 30th, 2026 under the care of Infinity Hospice Care, with her family by her side. 

Born to Eulogio Sotelo and Juana De Guzman on April 26, 1934 in Mangaldan, Pangasinan, Philippines, Cecilia went on to become a clothing designer, dressmaker, hairdresser & cosmetologist. She then opened her very own Beauty & Dressmaking shop in the late 1950's.

In January 1971, she married her husband, the late Arturo Arconado Parayno. They were married for 51 years. In the 1980's, they moved to Liberia, West Africa, with their two children. There she worked in the preaching with the missionaries of Jehovah's Witnesses, going deep into the jungles to find sheep like those of Jehovah. In the 1990's, Cecilia and her family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, and lived there until her passing.

Cecilia is survived by her son, Arnel Sotelo Parayno, her daughter, Arlyn Parayno Jakson, sons-in-law, Timothy James Jackson, grandchildren, Arnel Joseph Parayno, Marc Anthony Parayno, Angelica Ann Marie Parayno, Jasmine Ginger Jackson, Tony Jordan Jackson, and her first great-granddaughter, Roselyn Lee Parayno.
