Chalmers Larsen Akima, 47, of Las Vegas, passed away July 22, 2012. He was born Aug. 14, 1964, in Honolulu. He worked at the California Hotel and was a tax assessor for Clark County. He was a member of Hale O Na Alii, the WaimeaLas Vegas, and Southern Nevada and Tennessee Hawaiian Civic Clubs. Chalmers is survived by his father, William L. Akima mother, Lorna Kaiuwailani Akima sister, Willette K. Akima and brother, William L. Akima III, all of Kamuela, Hawaii. No services are scheduled. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
