Charles Haman

Charles (Chuck) Haman, the son of Andrew (Adam P.) and Winona Schiele Haman was born September 12, 1949, in Rugby, North Dakota.  He passed away on February 2, 2023, at his home with his family by his side.  He was raised on the family farm by Towner.  He began school in Berwick, ND, and then went to Towner, ND, graduating in 1967.  He married Murlayne (Casey) (Ness) December 15, 1972.  They had two girls, Holly and Candy.  Chuck worked for Gunter Honey for a number of years.  He purchased an oil company in Towner and was in business selling to ranchers and farmers in the area.  He sold this business and then worked for Dokken Construction driving trucks.  In 2004, Chuck and Casey moved to Las Vegas, NV to be near their girls.  Chuck worked as a custodian for the Clark County School Police until his retirement in 2015.  Through the years he helped his daughters with many projects, especially on their homes.  He could do most anything and he taught his girls many of these abilities.  He taught them to be self-sufficient, independent, and upstanding women.  He was very proud of them.  On September 10, 2009, Chuck and Casey were blessed with a grandson.  Chuck attended as many activities for Colby as he could.  There was swimming, school programs, football, soccer, and baseball along with birthdays and holidays.  Chuck was an avid Nascar fan and loved to hunt and fish.  Chuck will be truly missed by all but he will live on in our hearts forever.

Chuck is survived by daughters, Holly Fetzer (Mike), Las Vegas, NV, and Candice Haman, Goodlettsville, TN, and Grandson, Colby Fetzer.  Sisters:  Jeanne Feist (Gary), Bismarck, ND; Suzanne Wanner (Lee), Dahinda, IL; Nancy Volk, Bismarck, ND; Brothers:  Arlan (Ginny), Fairbanks, AK; Gordon (Nicki), Towner, ND; Bruce, Towner, ND; Richard (Linda), Mohall, ND; Randy, Bismarck, ND.  Sisters in law, Jackie Follman, Towner, ND, Julie Kuhnhenn (Donnie), Towner, ND, Jody Nichols, Drake, ND, brothers in law, Terry Ness (Donna), Towner, ND, Kent Ness (Dina), Reiles Acres, ND, Todd Ness (Deanna), Minot, ND.  Many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and many friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Donald, Leonard, and Daniel; brother in law, George Volk, mother in law, Merle Ness and her companion, Gilman Sjong, father in law, Kermith Ness, brother in law, Roy Follman.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, February 24, 2023, at 1:30 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 10265 Bermuda Road, Las Vegas, NV 89183 with Pastor Andrew Mueller officiating.  The service will be live-streamed on youtube and if you would like more information, please contact a family member.
