Charles Semones
June 10, 1932 — February 3, 2016
Charles A. Semones, age 83, passed away in Las Vegas, NV, on February 3, 2016. He was born in Hillsville, VA on June 10, 1932. He was the son of Hazel and James Semones.
Following four years in the U.S. Air Force, he attended the University of Virginia, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1959, then attended the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and graduated with a Master's degree.
He joined the U.S. Department of State and served as a Foreign Service Officer in Curacao, Philippines, and Brazil. Charles later spent 20 years as an International Economics Officer at Security Pacific National Bank (now Bank of America) in L.A.
Charles is survived by his wife, Marilyn, sisters Betty Jo Manning and Shirley Boon of Roanoke, VA.
