Colleen F. Dahl

Colleen Fay Housley Dahl (83), of Las Vegas Nevada passed away on (August 5th, 2018) in Las Vegas due to complications related to Alzheimer's. She was born in Lethbridge, Alberta Canada to John and Jane Irene (Jennie) Housley on February 28,1935. Colleen grew up in the small community of Raymond Alberta. She was a good student and Valedictorian of her High School. She went on to attend the University of Alberta where she earned a degree in nursing. She worked as a public health nurse and also a labor and delivery nurse. She served in her church and community faithfully throughout her life and it was her love of the gospel of Jesus Christ that guided and defined her life. She married Clifford Dahl on September 12th, 1958. Together they raised three daughters which she would describe as her greatest life's work. Together, Colleen and Cliff raised their daughters in Calgary, Alberta Canada until 1982 when they moved to Camarillo, California because of a job opportunity. They remained there for 15 year until moving to Las Vegas Nevada upon Clifford's retirement.
Colleen is preceded in death by her father, John Housley, her mother, Jane Irene (Jennie) Housley and her brother Louis Schumers.
Colleen is survived by her husband, Clifford Dahl, her daughters, Sharon Prescott (Bob), Carolynn Manning (Gary) and Wendy Adams (Mike). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Andrew Prescott, Jared Prescott, Alexis Rose (David), Jesse Leavitt, Spencer Manning (Fabiana), Rachel Manning, Mackenzie Leavitt, Bethany Brunner (Seth), Chase Adams (Elizabeth) and Jessica Hardt (Joshua) and six great grandchildren, Killian Brunner, Dash Brunner, Emrae Brunner, Sadie Brunner, Adelaide Adams and Declan Hardt.
The family wishes to extend our deepest thanks for all that have assisted in the care of Colleen, especially European Home Care and Renaissance Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Alz.org.
