Dale Parantala

Dale Parantala, 77, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 7th in Las Vegas.

Dale was born April 9, 1941 and raised in Floodwood, MN. At the age of 18, he joined the Air Force, where he proudly served his country for 8 years as a surgical technician. Upon leaving the service, Dale moved to Las Vegas, where he worked as a dice dealer for over 30 years. Coming to the town that would shape the rest of his life, he found adventure when he met and married fellow Minnesotan Kitty Toulouse and raised a family over 44 years of marriage.

Dale was a sharp dresser, polka dancer, bingo player, and he loved to tell stories. He was also a lifelong fan of both the Minnesota Vikings and Twins.

He is survived by his wife Kitty, children Mark Parantala, Michelle Parantala Herzog (husband Stephen Herzog), and Paul Parantala (wife Julie), his granddaughters Paige and Taylor Parantala, and his sister RaeAnn Anderson. He was preceded in death by his daughter Melanie Paree, parents Emil and Ilta, and brother Barry.

A memorial service will be held at St. Viator Catholic Church on Saturday, September 15th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial gift to St. Viator Catholic School.
