Obituary:
Daunne Marie McEntire, known fondly as "Bunny", passed away on April 14, 2024 in Las Vegas, NV, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on March 8, 1945, in Dunkirk, NY, Bunny's life was a tapestry woven with threads of compassion, humor, and kindness. She was a woman of many talents and passions, devoting herself to various career paths throughout her lifetime. From her early days as a hair stylist at The Studio in Dunkirk, NY to the iconic Bob's Big Boy in Van Nuys, CA, where she met her husband, Steve, to Corky's Restaurant in Sherman Oaks, CA, to her role as General Manager at Cables Restaurant in Woodland Hills, CA, Bunny's unwavering work ethic and warm demeanor endeared her to all who crossed her path.
Her journey also led her through positions at notable establishments such as Center BMW in Sherman Oaks and Chaisson BMW, Cashman Motors, and Findlay Cadillac Oldsmobile in Las Vegas. Bunny's knack for building connections and spreading joy made her an indispensable asset wherever she went.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Bunny's personal life shone brightly with love and devotion. For nearly six decades, she was the beloved wife of Steven McEntire. Together they raised two children, Tiffinie Tang and Sean McEntire, and cared for three beautiful grandchildren. Bunny's love extended not only to her immediate family but also to a diverse circle of relatives and friends and fur babies who will forever hold her dear in their hearts.
Bunny's magnetic personality was matched only by her culinary skills; she was renowned for her baking prowess and once crafted a coconut cake that fetched the highest bid during her high school days at Cardinal Mindszenty High School, but her friends, family and neighbors know her for her amazing bundt cakes.
Known for her heartwarming nature and quick wit, Bunny created countless cherished memories through beach outings, concerts, road trips along the coast, and intimate family gatherings. Her charm and generosity knew no bounds as she went above and beyond to ensure others felt loved and appreciated, especially in times of need.
