David Frederico, Age 71, of Henderson, NV passed away on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026.
David was born in Burbank, CA to Anthony Julius Frederico and Carole Ann Shawne on July 27th, 1954.
David was larger than life in his youth as a childhood actor as the lead role in the movie, “Dondi,” that was released by Allied Artists in 1961 after the popular comic strip of the same name that appeared in the New York Daily News for over 30 years. He attended the Colin McEwen School and the Lynnfield School in Los Angeles.
David was a loving, charismatic, highly intelligent man, who was fanatical about Bay Area sports teams, and he loved betting on ponies. With all his wit and humor, David was naturally the center of attention in any room and adored by those that knew him well or even briefly. He had an incredibly close relationship with his son and best friend, Jason, who misses him dearly.
He was married to Beverly Diane Frederico from June of 1979 for the next 25 years. They divorced in 2001 but remained close friends until his passing.
David was a professional poker dealer or manager most of his life at various Las Vegas Strip resorts and off-Strip properties. From 1989-1992, he fulfilled one of his passions with opening R.B.I. Baseball Cards, a sporting card store that was his pride and joy.
David was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Julius Frederico and mother, Carole Ann Shawne, as well as older brother Anthony Frederico.
David is survived by Former Spouse Beverly Frederico of Henderson, NV, son Jason Frederico of Henderson, NV, sister Patricia Divine of Thousand Oaks, CA, and several cousins in Las Vegas, NV and Los Angeles, CA.
David’s family wishes to extend sincere appreciation to all the love and support they’ve received during this difficult time.
And last but certainly not least, David would’ve liked all of you to know he’s still rooting for his beloved San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and Golden State Warriors!
