Divina “Francy” Baldoza, 73 years old, formerly residing at #31 Magsaysay Street, Pacita I, San Pedro City, Laguna, Philippines, passed away on November 10, 2025 at her residence in 875 E Silverado Ranch Blvd. Apt 1120 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA,
Divina was born in Naga City, Philippines, to Spouses Romulo B. Fruel and Salvadora P. Fruel (both deceased) on September 23, 1952, the 2nd of five children.
Before migrating to the United States of America in 2006, Divina was a retired government employee in the Philippines, a former officer of a government agency formerly known as Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), now named as Department of Migrant Workers, where she worked for a total of 35 years of government service, including her a number of years of overseas posting as Welfare Officer/OWWA Center Coordinator in the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong.
Her early school years were spent in a Catholic girls school in Santa Isabel College, Naga City, Philippines; her high school and college years in the University of Nueva Caceres, Naga City, Philippines, where she was a consistent honor student/dean’s lister/scholar, and graduated from college Magna Cum Laude with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Management. Additionally, she was a very active and popular student both in high school and college, being an Editor-in-Chief of the high school official paper; a high school representative in various competitions in declamation/ oratorical/debating contests; a member with the rank of Captain in the Women Auxiliary Corps (a high school military training); and in college, an elected officer of the student government council and head of the college honor sorority, Nu Kappa Phi.
Divina was married in a catholic church wedding to Victor B. Baldoza on May 26, 1973 in San Miguel Pro Cathedral, Manila. The couple have six (6) wonderful children (four girls and two boys), now all professional grownups and having their own families. Three of them are in the Philippines, one in the USA, one in Toronto, Canada, and one in Melbourne, Australia.
After qualifying and getting her US residency (the “green card”), and then, eventually her US citizenship, Divina permanently worked in Walmart as Cashier for seven years. At the same time, she pursued her childhood dream of becoming a Registered Nurse by enrolling in Community College of Southern Nevada. Unfortunately, due to health reason, she had to quit both her employment with Walmart after seven years and her college nursing course with only two more semesters left before graduation.
Together with her husband, Divina served as Lector and Eucharistic Minister for several years before covid era in St. Thomas More Catholic Community, and also a former member of a couple of known religious organizations.
Divina is preceded in death by her parents: Romulo B. Fruel (2001) and Salvadora P. Fruel (2013): and, by her parents-in-law: Jose A. Baldoza (1998) and Juliana B. Baldoza (2013).
Divina is survived by her husband, Victor B. Baldoza; her six children: namely, Levon Franco married to Jennifer; Jasmin Angela married to Nargel Velasco; Dr. June Grace married to Dr. Carlo Cajucom; Jewel Ruby married to Wijie Gonzales; Jacqueline Fatima married to Norman Avancena: Victor Lloyd, Jr. married to Jerwenah; her four siblings: namely, Cynthia Fruel, Floranie F. Ora, William Fruel, and Roy Fruel; her sixteen grandchildren: namely, Dr.Levon Franco, Jr., Lhia, Jenna, Thirdy, Sharmaine, Shannen, Reigne, Victor Cyril, Carl Cian, Caleb, Levi, Mica, Bea, Rafa, Vaia, and Sean.
Viewing service will be held on December 11, 2025 (Thursday), 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, in Davis Funeral Homes and Memorial Park #6200 S Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89119, with Deacon Dan Maier from St. Thomas More Catholic Community officiating a prayer service at 4:30 pm. Cremation rite will follow on the next day at 8:00 am December 12, 2025.
The families of the Baldoza and Fruel wish to extend our sincerest MILLION THANKS to all of Divina’s Doctors/Specialists, health providers, medical clinics/facilities and hospitals both in the USA and in the Philippines that, in one way or another, contributed, provided and shared so much in the care, attention, assistance and health services to Divina, in particular: Dr. June Grace Baldoza-Cajucom, Dr. Carlo Cajucom, Dr. Paule, Dr. Rahman, Dr. Kalra, Dr. Parek Pareg, Dr. Kernan, United Health Care, Humana, Social Security Administration, Medicare, Medicaid, St. Thomas More Catholic Community/Lisa Fairweather, St. Rose Hospital-Siena Campus and its medical staff, The Davita-The District Dialysis and its medical staff, in particular: RN Sylvia, Joannah, Myra, RN Stephanie, RN Gabe, and to all those persons and entities we failed to mentioned; and of course, to all of Divina’s children and grandchildren, family members, loved ones, relatives, brothers and sisters in Christ of Divina in her prayer groups and friends who have given their helping hands, assistance, support, prayers, kind thoughts, concerns, sympathies, condolences, and by just simply being with Divina’s family in this difficult time of mourning, grief and sorrow, in particular to Bro Dave Gomez and his wife, Sis Mercy who led the 9-day prayer novena, to Divina’s daughter Jasmin and son-in-law, Nargel Velasco who offered their residence to Divina and husband to stay and live and be taken care of through the years, and to Victor’s dearest little sister and Divina’s sister-in-law, Heide Baldoza-Ferguson who with Jasmin and Nargel, made all the necessary preparations, arrangements, and dealings with all the right and relevant parties in connection to this final events and rites for Divina.
