Douglas Richard Degidio

Douglas Richard DeGidio, age 74, of Las Vegas, NV passed away on November 12, 2025 in Las Vegas, NV.

Douglas was born in St. Paul, MN to Alfred and Bernice DeGidio on December 18, 1951.

He lived in St Paul until he joined the Air Force in 1970. He served in the Air Force from 1970-1977 as a radar technician and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He spent the majority of his service stationed at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, NV. It was during that time he met and married his wife, Nancy. After receiving an Honorable Discharge from the Air Force in 1977, Douglas went to work for EG&G Special Projects and later JT3 as an Electronics Engineering Specialist and later a Field Engineer. He also earned an Associates Degree from Clark County Community College. He retired from JT3 in 2015 and continued as a consultant for 2 years after his retirement.

Douglas was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and volunteered his time in various aspects throughout his life both within his church and outside. He was a Boy Scout leader, a coach and a mentor for many.

Douglas is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Bernice DeGidio and his wife Nancy DeGidio.

Douglas is survived by his children and their spouses: Douglas DeGidio Jr and Dana DeGidio, Jeremiah and Sara DeGidio, Sariah and Adam Taylor, and Rebecca and Shawn Stricklin; his brother and sisters: Diana, Ronald, Rita and Debbie GeGidio; and his grandchildren: Meggan, Natasha and Valerie Stricklin; Elanor Taylor; Destiny, Bradley, Mason, Angelica, Paul, Avery and Hayden DeGidio.

Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 4545 W New Forest Dr on Saturday, December 6. The Viewing will be at 10am and the Memorial Service at 11am.
