Henry Marcus Proctor Jr.

Henry (Hank) Marcus Proctor Jr. was born August 2, 1924 in Verrett, Louisiana to Henry Marcus Proctor Sr. and Carrie Verrett Proctor. He was the only son of four children.
Henry is preceded in death by his father, Henry Proctor Sr., his mother, Carrie Verrett, three sisters: Debra Waiter, Helen Proctor Simms and Eunice Proctor.
Henry accepted the Lord as his personal savior at an early age. Henry received his schooling in Verrett, Louisiana and after graduation from high school, Henry (Hank) enlisted in the United States Armed Forces in 1943. First, entering the United States Navy and later transferring to the United States Army, where he served twenty years, reaching the rank of Master Sergeant G-8, before retiring in 1969.
After retiring from the Army, Henry (Hank) went to work for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1988.
In 1974, Henry (Hank) met and fell in love with his ""Sweetie"", Juanita Hart. A match made in heaven. In 1985, Hank and Juanita (Nita) married.
The family relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1996 and Henry re-committed his life to the Lord. He joined Unity Baptist Church and was baptized under the leadership of the late Reverend Kamara.
Henry (Hank) was a gentle giant who loved life and loved helping others, especially young people. He loved children and always wanted to make sure they were well cared for.
Henry leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Juanita ""Nita"" Proctor of Las Vegas, NV, five children: Patricia Andrews of Los Angeles, CA, Michele Robinson (Robby) of Los Angeles, CA, Raymond Andrews (Linda) of Las Vegas, NV, Howard Andrews of Los Angeles, CA, and Shirley Allen (Gary) of Converse, TX. Seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Papa Hank, Grandpa, Great grandpa, Uncle and friend, you will be truly missed.
