Jackson Chao

Jackson Chao, known as Ruu Cheng Chao, 71, beloved Father, Brother, and Son, was called to his eternal resting place on April 14, 2023. He entered this world on July 9, 1951, in Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C. born to Tzu Kang Chao and Hai Huan Lu. He graduated at Christ's College Taipei, and his master's degree at Brooks Institute. As an expert in portrait photography, he had photography shops in Santa Barbara and Glendale Galleria. He later worked tirelessly for the local newspaper industry in Las Vegas area. Starting as a photographer and reporter for a local travel magazine, he founded his own newspaper distribution company with his significant other, Erin Chiang. He will be remembered as a doting father, a loyal brother, an enthusiastic and kind friend, a helpful newspaper delivery man in Las Vegas. He is survived by his son George Chao; son-in-law Eli Furnas; Life Partner Erin Chiang; brother Ju Kai Chao; sister Ju Yi Chao and Rita Chao. A memorial service will be held on 11:00 am Saturday May 13, 2023, at Davis Funeral Homes, 6200 South Eastern Avenue.
