Jaime Giraldo

Jaime Giraldo, 64, of Las Vegas, passed away on February 3, 2019 in Las Vegas.
Jaime Giraldo was born Costa Rica, Colombia to Luis Giraldo and Josefina Giraldo Aristizabal
on November 9, 1954.
Married to Luz Mery Pelaez December 24, 1977 through the Roman Catholic Church. Occupation
Terminal Bus Station in Cali, Colombia. He also worked in the Amazon of Colombia with
different Indian Tribes. He's been a quite adventurer. In 1978, a beautiful daughter born
September 5th. Also worked in Alaska for a year as a Fisherman and Hunter in 1981. In 1982 -
1986 he worked as Stewarding in the Hilton Las Vegas where he ventured to the Land of
Opportunity. In 1984 a son Ricardo Giraldo was born. 1987-1988 Jaime went back to Alaska and
did the same back in 1981 as a Hunter and Fisherman. 1988-2016 started in the casino industry
as a utility portar. At some point he also worked in Valley hospital, but mainly worked in
Excalibur most of his career Journeyed on to Luxor and Wynn and retired from 2016-2019.
Jaime Giraldo was a very family oriented man. He was very happy, positive, energetic,
hardworking and a great role model even on his worst time, always helping people, outgoing
personality, servicing people. Jaime was an amazing loving husband to Luz Mery Giraldo. He
also was a loving caring father of two, Erika Martinez and Riko Giraldo. Jaime also had two in
Laws name Armando Martinez and Patricia Sandoval. He always had great moments with them
two. Either from picking up a shot, a wine glass and cheered, to moments of family time. He also
was an amazing grandfather to Arik Martinez, Alec Martinez, Isaiah Giraldo, Armando J. Martinez
and Alaiyah Franchesca Giraldo. He was an awesome Son, Uncle, Brother, Godfather, Friend
and HERO. Our dad has impacted a lot of hearts & souls throughout his life. He will be missed
very dearly, but now he is needed up above to take care of business. So papi go rock up there.
Jaime Giraldo is preceded, in death by Alberto Giraldo, Efrain Giraldo.
Jaime Giraldo is survived by Luz Mery Giraldo (Wife), Erika and Armando Martinez (daughter &
Son in Law), Riko & Patricia Giraldo (Son & Daughter in Law), Luis Alfonso Giraldo, Senovia
Giraldo, Flor Gibson, Gladis Giraldo, Gilson Giraldo, Josefina Giraldo Aristizabal (Mother), Arik,
Alec, Armando J Martinez (grand sons) and Isaiah and Alaiyah Giraldo (grand son and
daughter).
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am February 13, 2019 at Davis Funeral Homes & Memorial
Park with the (name of minister) of (name of church) , officiating. Burial will follow at Davis
Funeral Homes & Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Davis Funeral Homes & Memorial Park.
