We announce with deep sadness, the sudden and unexpected passing of our son Jaimon Derek Bakker at age 44 on September 6th, 2025. He was born November 8, 1980 in Murray, Utah, yet lived most of his life in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jaimon is a special soul who relished life with his huge smile, loving heart, and beautiful brown eyes; he had the innate ability to bring others laughter and happiness.
Jaimon was a dedicated associate in Las Vegas real estate and eventually at Nordis Technologies. He was a passionate fisherman, kayaking and bicycling partner with his dad. He loved concerts (Joe Bonamassa was his last), the Las Vegas Raiders, and Utah Jazz, with whom he enjoyed hundreds of games with his dad — they were partners in all things fun!
Jaimon’s deep relationships with his sisters and especially with his mother are indelibly etched in their hearts.
He was a follower of his Savior, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Jaimon is survived by father Edward (Eddy) Bakker, mother Colette C. Bakker, older sister Andrea Noelle Coleman (Chace), younger sister Deidre Leslie Riches (Greg), nephew Gage Coleman, nieces Henley and Hayden Riches, as well as numerous aunts and uncles, and of course, his beloved and beautiful grandmother Jacklyn Bakker. Predeceased by grandfather Frank Bakker, grandfather Benjamin Cutler, grandmother Patricia Cutler, and his beloved dog and friend Otis.
A celebration of Jaimon’s life will be held at his parents' home on October 11th, 2025 beginning at 2:00 pm at 1228 San Eduardo Avenue, Henderson, Nevada.
To our son… ”We hold you in our hearts, take you to our dreams, touch you as you fall into view; when the winter comes, we’ll keep the fire lit, and be right there next to you.”
