James Robert Brooks

James Brooks, a devoted man of God, loving husband, and deeply cherished father, went home to be with the Lord on April 17th, 2026.

James lived a life rooted in faith, guided by his unwavering relationship with Jesus Christ. His days were marked by prayer, generosity, and a strength that reflected the love of God in everything he did. He did not just speak about his faith-he lived it daily, pouring into others, leading by example, and trusting the Lord in every season of life.

He was the beloved husband of Sandy Brooks, with whom he shared a beautiful life built on love, commitment, and faith. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and the presence of God.

James was a proud and devoted father to Brianna and Tyler Brooks. To his children, he was more than a dad-he was a best friend, a protector, a teacher, and a constant source of encouragement. He found joy in simply being present with his family, always making sure they felt seen, deeply loved, and supported. He had a remarkable way of making each person feel special, showing his love through his kindness, attentiveness, and the way he consistently put others before himself.

Known by many as the life of every gathering, James brought light, laughter, and joy wherever he went. His presence was magnetic-people were drawn to his kindness, his humor, and his genuine love for God he showed to everyone he encountered. He had a heart for others, always putting their needs before his own, and never missing an opportunity to encourage or uplift someone.

James "Jim" Brooks was a true legend within eXp Realty and the broader Las Vegas real estate community. As the founder of The Brooks Team, Jim built a reputation defined by integrity, excellence, and an unmatched commitment to his clients. His leadership in the condo-hotel and high-rise market set a standard for the entire community, and his impact extended far beyond transactions-he mentored, inspired, and uplifted everyone around him. Jim's legacy within eXp is one of vision, dedication, and heart, and he will forever be remembered as a trailblazer who helped shape the industry and the lives of those fortunate enough to work alongside him.

James leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and selflessness. He is survived by his mother Carol Brooks and his two brothers, Keith and Jeffery Brooks, along with countless friends and loved ones whose lives were deeply impacted by his compassion and unwavering faith. He is now reunited in heaven with his father, James Brooks, embraced once again in the presence of the Lord.

Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, we find peace in knowing that he is now in the presence of the Lord, hearing the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant." His life was a testament to God's goodness, and his legacy will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held on May 1st at City Light Church in Las Vegas, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the incredible man he was.
