Jerry Kent Austin Sr.

Jerry passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Nathan Adelson Hospice Care in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jerry's wife Martha Austin who preceded him in death (2016) was married 58 years. Today (Oct 12, 2018) would have been their 60th wedding anniversary.
Jerry was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and was one of nine children. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward Austin and Josephine Weathersby. Brothers Murtis, Robert Lee, Wilmer, Eddy-James, Tommy, Vernon, Lewis and Sister Enavoid.
He is survived by his five children; Linda Lucas, Jerry K Austin Jr., Terry L. Austin (Laura), LaRhonda Austin and LaTonjaa Austin. A host of loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends to celebrate his home going to be with the Lord.
Jerry served proudly in the United States Air Force for 23 years, and 30 years Civil Service before retiring in 2008. Our Dad worked tirelessly his entire life. Now it's your turn to rest easy. Dad we love you very much.
