Jerry Lee Sims

Jerry Sims, 87, beloved Husband, Father, Father-in-law, Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle, was called to his eternal resting place on July 9, 2024.

He entered this world on June 28, 1937 in Oklahoma, born to Benjamin and Beatrice Sims. He is survived by his wife Hannah Sims; sons Randy Cameron and Thomas Sims; daughter-in-law Hyesook Han; grandchildren Ryan and Erin Cameron; sister Mary Williams; and nephew Dale Sims.

Jerry served in the Navy right out of high school and was later a civil servant for the Army. Jerry was married for over 40 years. Jerry faithfully cared for his wife who developed health issues several years ago. They loved going to buffets, playing the slot machines, and just being with each other. He was diagnosed with leukemia in August 2023…he put on a valiant fight but lost the battle. One of his passions was the Los Angeles Lakers, and he fought hard to see how his Lakers would do in the 2023-2024 season.

 A memorial service will be held on August 1, 2024, at 9:30 am at Davis Funeral Homes on Eastern Avenue. Burial will be at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
