Joni Marie Abraham, age 57, was a loving wife, daughter, sister, and friend. She was called home suddenly on July 18, 2023 in her hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada.
She was born to Robert and Deanna Werner on July 24, 1965. She met the love of her life when she was 16 and they married two years later, just shy of her 19th birthday. While she longed to be a mother, she never had children of her own. Instead, she spent her life lavishing all of her love onto her family, friends, and just about anyone else she met. To Joni, there was no such thing as a stranger, just friends, not yet made. She loved people, music, dogs, and above all, Jesus. She served in Sunday school where she was able to share her talents and love with the children of the community. Joni had such a big heart and she will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Michael Abraham, brother, Michael Maletich, and niece, Erica Boyer. She has survived by her parents, Robert and Deanna Werner, brothers, Steven Maletich, and Robert Werner, sisters in law Liz Werner and Kathy Maletich, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, friends who were as close as family and numerous others, whose life she touched.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life on August 3, 2023 at Davis mortuary 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Viewing will be at 12:30 with funeral services to follow at 2 PM. Everyone is invited to the Werner home after the burial where we can share stories of our beloved, Joni.
