Jose Angel Contreras Sr., affectionately known as "Swift," passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born on April 5, 1984, in Sacramento, California, he lived a full and meaningful life marked by devotion to his family and community.

We are heartbroken to share the sudden passing of Angel, a loving husband, devoted father, and truly kind soul. He was a man with a big heart who loved his family deeply and was always there for his children. A man of his word, Angel was respected by many and known for his caring and loving nature.

Angel lived with epilepsy and would occasionally experience seizures. Tragically, he recently suffered a severe medical episode. His passing has left his wife and their children facing an unimaginable loss. He leaves behind a beautiful family of 7 who are still young and depend on their mother for care and support.

Angel was a beloved husband to his wife, Victoria Hernandez Contreras. Together, they nurtured a large and loving family that included thirteen children, a testament to the deep bonds and strong values he cherished. He was also a proud grandfather to one granddaughter, bringing him immense joy and pride.

He was the cherished son of Lena Contreras and Emery, who survive him alongside his ten brothers and sisters. The enduring legacy of his parents, and the family he raised, stand as a powerful reflection of his dedication and love. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nana and Grandpa, whose memory he carried with him always.

Angel’s life will be honored at Davis Funeral Homes & Memorial Park in Las Vegas, located at 6200 S Eastern Ave, NV 89119. A viewing will be held on May 1, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM, followed by the funeral service on the same day from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Family, friends, and all who knew Jose are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of his life.
