Joyce Lynn Goodenough (Adermann), age 82, of Haugan, Montana, died May 1, 2025. She was born in Whittier, California on October 17, 1942 to parents Raymond and Patricia Adermann.
She was an avid music lover—especially rock and roll—and loved to dance. Joyce spent many years living in La Verne, California raising her family. She was a classroom mother, a Little League mother, and 7th Street neighborhood mother to all. Her sense of humor and warm, caring heart were extended to everyone she met. She worked for General Dynamics in Pomona, CA and Arrow Warehouse Distributors in La Verne, CA., where she met lifelong friends. She later moved to Haugan, Montana where she built a life full of many friends and family. Montana was her paradise on earth. Joyce was an avid crafter; crocheting countless afghans and ponchos, creating colorful rag rugs, painting and beading.
She is survived by her son, Micheal Goodenough (Roberta) of Henderson, NV, and daughter, Patricia Lightfoot (Douglas) of Northport, AL; her grandchildren Becky and Matthew Goodenough, Amanda Duncan, Danny Noonan, Katrina Fossum, Christopher, Micheal, and Michelle Ortega, and Katherine Lightfoot; and great and great great grandchildren, as well as dozens of nieces and nephews across the country.
Her parents, Patricia and Raymond, her sister Patricia, and brothers Raymond and Gerald, as well as her sons Curtis and Leo and daughter Kathleen, her former husband, Major William Goodenough and partner, Robert Chism preceded her in death.
Memorial services will be planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or charity of choice.
