Karen Momilani Morimoto

Karen Momilani Morimoto, age 38 of Las Vegas, NV. left us in the early morning of February 1, 2026. She was born on May 12, 1987 in Honolulu, Oahu, HI. Daughter of Kenneth T. Morimoto and Bernadine P. Morimoto.

Karen attended the majority of her schooling on the Island of Maui. She moved with her family to Las Vegas, NV. in 2003 where she attended her sophomore year of high school. She graduated from Basic High School in 2005. After graduation she furthered her education by attending a Culinary Academy. She had various jobs throughout her life. She has worked at Sunset Station movie theatre, Dairy Queen, Taco Bell, Amazon, and Inno Supps. No matter where Karen worked, she befriended so many throughout her life, and with each job, she had impacted her colleagues and co-workers by including them in her circle of friends. Her colleagues extended past friends, and accepted them as her family “Ohana”.

Karen was an avid optimist. Her outlook on life was with positivity. Her smile was contagious and her laugh was one-of-a-kind. She enjoyed children, even though she did not have any children of her own, she loved them as if they were hers. She enjoyed spending time with family and went on a handful of family cruises. Karen spent her free time doing arts and crafts, baking, playing bingo, slot machines and a multitude of activities. Above all, her free time consisted of spending time with others and enjoying their company.

Karen’s Ohana was a big part of her life. She is survived by her parents: Kenneth & Bernadine Morimoto; Brothers: Karl (Ann) Espinda, Kevin (Chelsee) Morimoto, and Kyle Morimoto; Sisters: Kerri (Thomas) Anderson, and Korie (Joshua) Jones; 6 Nephews and 6 Nieces.
