Lenora Rae Salerno, 66, went home peacefully to the Lord on November 3, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Lenora lived a life centered on love, faith, and family, always prioritizing the people closest to her heart. She spent her early career in teaching and later in public service with the City of Henderson and Las Vegas Parks and Recreation, including roles in the Safe Key program and as a school crossing guard, but her life's joy was her family—nurturing her three daughters with unwavering devotion and creating cherished memories with her grandchildren. Everyone was drawn to her warm, empathetic spirit and joyful energy. She had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel special and seen, always offering compassion and help to those in need. Lenora embraced life with zest and passion. She worked hard, played hard, and loved hard, whether lacing up her running shoes, caring for animals, tending to her garden, or gathering her loved ones together. Her legacy is one of selfless love. The Lord answered her prayer, and she will be dearly missed.
Lenora is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Salerno; the steadfast father of her children, Donald Shue; her three cherished daughters, Shannon, Kristen, and Torri; nine beloved grandchildren, Logan, Tyson, Bella, Taylor, Gianna, Gabriel, Jaxx, Sophia, and Joshua; one great-granddaughter, Deliah, and another on the way.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on November 18, 2025, at Davis Funeral Homes with Donald Shue officiating. Burial will follow at Davis Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Davis Funeral Homes & Memorial Park.
The family of Lenora wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to the dedicated nurses and medical staff who cared for her in her final days.
