Marcelyn May Luedtke

Marcelyn May Luedtke, age 95, of Henderson, Nevada, stepped into heaven on Aug 16, 2023.

 Marcelyn (Marcy) was born in Boone, Iowa to Neil and Gladys Fann Sorenson on

January 22, 1928.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Norbert Luedtke, daughter-in-law, Cynthia Luedtke, her brothers, Pershing and Kenneth Sorenson and her parents, Neil and Gladys Sorenson.

Marcy is survived by son and daughter -in-law, Mason and Kelly Luedtke; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and George Selthofner; and grandchildren, Christopher (Barb), Katie, Jared, Lacy, Holly and great grandchildren, Matthew, Adam, Jac, Kiera, Kaloni, Conner, Alyssa, Kalem, Malachi and Giani.

Throughout her life, Marcy was a faithful and devoted servant of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Moving to Henderson in 1991, she served for 30 years at the First Henderson UMC as a choir director, Sunday School teacher and nursing home ministry coordinator; as well as volunteered for over 20 years at St. Rose de Lima Hospital. Her life touched and blessed family, friends, and strangers alike over her 95 years. She will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m. on October 21, 2023, at Faith Christian Church, Located at 1100 Buchanan Blvd, Boulder City.
