Martin Hall

May 10, 1963 — October 14, 2022

Martin Hall (Marty) 59 of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away unexpectedly at his family home on

October 14, 2022.  Marty was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 10, 1963.  He was preceded in death by his brother Harold C. Lee (Butch), his parents Edward Hall and Margaret Hall.  Marty is survived by his brother Grant Wilson (Dawn), Niece Lauren Davis (Treneil), Nephew Kenneth Walker (Karah),

Aunt, great nieces, great nephews and a host of cousins.

Marty attended Wickliffe Schools and Willoughby School of Fine Arts.  His music studies started with classical music but Marty’s passion was all music and playing the guitar.  While growing up in Wickliffe, Ohio Marty enjoyed the many conversations with his uncles and neighborhood fathers.  He valued their knowledge and experiences and he loved telling the stories of these conversations.

Marty graduated from Wickliffe High School in 1981 and went on to play in a local band with former classmates while also working.  In the early 90s Marty moved to Los Angeles, California and found employment at a print shop where he met many celebrities.  Also, while in Los Angeles, Marty played in a band with Andre Cymone who was guitarist for Prince’s touring band.  He loved telling the stories and experiences he had working at the print shop and playing in the band.  Marty’s parents moved to Los Angeles in the late 1990s to be closer to him.  Over time Marty became their caregiver.   Marty and his parents then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he continued with his love of music and also continued taking care of his parents until their passing.

Some of Grant’s fondest memories with Marty were when they were younger:  Christmas mornings together, Grant gifting Marty his first rock album (KISS), Grant taking Marty to his first concert (Van Halen).  These and many other memories will be cherished and never forgotten.

Marty’s cremation was handled by Davis Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Marty will be greatly missed.  Rest in Peace Brother, We Love You!
