Melanie was a beloved Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Niece, and Cousin. She would brighten up a room with her smile, laugh, and vivid personality. She was never afraid to say what she was thinking, often bringing the house down with her unique sense of humor.

Melanie adored her family. Every single person she loved was special to her, and she held onto and treasured every single memory she made with the people that mattered to her. She loved meeting new people and never forgot a single individual that made an impact on her life. No matter how much time had passed. She had only to hear your voice, and sometimes just your footsteps, and she would shout your name with enthusiasm and love, her smile lighting up her whole face.

Melanie loved music, passionately collecting the CDs of all of her favorite artists to sing along to. You could not help but jam out along with her.

Our family that preceded her in death are those that she missed every single day, especially her Mama and her Daddy. We know that wherever her spirit resides, she is now laughing, smiling, running, and jumping right beside them.

Goodbye, Mel Mel. We will miss you, and the amazing and special person that you were.
