Michael Lionel Green

Michael Lionel "Mike" Green was born on February 10, 1960, to the late great Kenneth and Wilma Green in Los Angeles, California.

Michael received his education in the city of Compton and Long Beach, California and was a graduate of Compton Senior High School. 

Michael was a cheerful, witty, and humorous person. He enjoyed watching a variety of sports and often played Sportsbook. He would occasionally travel to the Los Angeles area to watch a live Dodger game, and the Grand Prix of Long Beach, California. He also enjoyed listening to "Oldies" music. Several years ago Michael took an adventurous trip to Germany and cruised the high seas. 

As a youngster, Michael played on several baseball leagues, which gained him a spot on the Long Beach Jordan High School Team. While playing baseball he was awarded several trophies and certificates. 

As a young man, Michael worked for Alcoa Company in Vernon, California for a few years. After leaving Alcoa he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he began working for Arizona Charlie's Decatur Casino. After parting ways with the casino, he began working for the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE). Michael worked there for more than 21 years. He joined the Shadow Lane Team 2018. Michael played an important role in transitioning the facility from the University of Nevada Reno, to the University of Nevada Las Vegas ownership. During this time he was heavily involved in a large renovation project which brought new clinics to the building and reorganized existing clinics. He was well-liked by his co-workers. 

Michael passed in the comfort of his home on January 24, 2020. he leaves to cherish his memories his brother, Stephen Green, sister, Deatrice Green, and his niece, Chyna Green Bostick, and a host of other relatives, co-workers, and friends.
