In Loving Memory of Michael Christopher Ramseyer

June 10, 1973 - November 26, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Christopher Ramseyer on November 26, 2023, at his residence in Henderson, Nevada. He leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of dedication and service.

Michael, born to James and Cynthia Ramseyer on June 10, 1973, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, grew up to be a remarkable individual. He attended Brookfield High School, where he excelled as a member of the Varsity football team. Following his graduation, he pursued his passion for law enforcement by obtaining his associate degree in Police Studies from Waukesha County Technical College.

Embarking on his law enforcement career, Michael joined the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office, contributing his skills and commitment to keep his community safe. His dedication eventually led him to the Salem Police Department before finding his true calling with the Henderson Police Department in Nevada, where he served for two decades. Always selfless and ready to lend a helping hand, Michael was known for his unwavering commitment to his fellow officers and ensuring the safety of the community he served.

Beyond his professional life, Michael found joy in exploring the world through travel. He had an adventurous spirit, seeking out the beauty and hidden treasures of far-off places that most only dream of witnessing. Additionally, he found solace and fulfillment in weight training and spending time at the shooting range, using these activities as outlets for self-reflection, discipline, and personal growth.

Michael is preceded in death by his loving parents, James, and Cynthia Ramseyer. He is survived by his beloved sisters, Carrie Mueller (Matt) and Therese Ramseyer, along with his brother, Daniel Ramseyer. His nieces: Elizabeth (Chad), Madeline, Andrea, Marissa and nephew, Elijah John and Great Niece Ariya to whom he was an adored uncle, will cherish the memories they shared with their beloved "Uncle Mike." The Henderson Police Department, his second family, mourns the loss of a trusted comrade and friend.

Funeral services to honor Michael's life will be held on January 6, 2024, at the Green Valley Christian Center, located at 711 Valle Verde Ct., Henderson, NV 89014. The service will commence at 10:30 AM, with Pastor Gary Morefield officiating. Following the service, Michael's earthly remains will be laid to rest next to his parents at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, Wisconsin, a final resting place where he will be reunited with his family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Michael's memory to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, an organization close to his heart.

Michael Christopher Ramseyer - A devoted son, a loving brother, a respected officer, and a lifelong traveler. May his spirit soar in the eternal realm as we remember the impact he made in our lives. He will forever be missed and never forgotten.
