Patricia Ann Vogel

May 25, 1930 — February 5, 2024

Las Vegas, Nevada

Patricia Ann Vogel age 93 of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Monday. February 5th, 2024.

Patricia was born May 25th,1930 in Parsons, Kansas to her parents Raymond and Glady’s Conroy. She had 5 siblings her sisters Mary, Edith, Jean, Ruby, and her brother Jack.

On July 29th, 1950 Patricia married her husband Bill Lee Vogel Sr. and together they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1951 where her husband was stationed in the Air Force at Nellis Air Base. They loved it in Vegas and that’s how it became home. They had two children together (Son) Bill Lee Vogel Jr. and a (Daughter) Susan (Vogel) Jenkins. Patricia and Bill were married for 68 years until he passed away on September 11th, 2018.

When Patricia was a young girl, she worked at the Country Club so she could earn money. She loved to roller-skate and was also in charge of the skate rentals at the rink. She always said the best part of the job was her getting to roller-skate. When Patricia was a young adult, she worked for the local telephone company as a telephone operator. She loved to deliver messages and really enjoyed her job. The last job that Patricia had was on the Las Vegas Strip at all the different Hotels she was a costume and wardrobe seamstress for a lot of the famous stars that performed on the strip from the early 1970’s through the late 1980’s. She was an amazing and very talented seamstress.

She loved her church and enjoyed giving her service to the members at the St. Viator’s Catholic Church. She worked so hard at all the things she had done.

Patricia had many talents and she loved to make things. She was a China Painter and made porcelain dolls. She made so many beautiful quilts and loved to embroidery, toll paint, cake decorating and I don’t think there was anything that she couldn’t do. She was just so amazing.

She always made friends with everyone she came into contact with and was so loved by everyone and especially her family.

Patricia was preceded in death by her immediate family her husband Bill Vogel Sr. her grandson Raymond Patrick Vogel and her granddaughter Julieann Vogel. She is survived by her son Bill Lee Vogel Jr. Her daughter Susan (Vogel) Jenkins. She was also survived by her two grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Patricia was a wonderful, loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, and a good friend to all. She will be terribly missed but never forgotten.

At the end of a phone call or when leaving her house her favorite saying was.

“I love you a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck.”
