Paul Milan Peretic, born December 23, 1965 in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away in his home in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 13, 2026. He was a beloved husband, a loving father, an honored veteran, and a friend to many from all walks of life. A man respected and loved by all who had the privilege to get to know him.

Paul proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 11 years. He was stationed in quite a few places, but he had a special place in his heart for South Korea and Hawaii. He especially loved the profound bond he had with his fellow Marine Corps brothers. He also had a deep passion for martial arts and practiced various types throughout his life, though he had an affinity for Universal Kempo Karate. He was even an instructor for many years, forming many long lasting friendships, like an extended family. Though his life-long career was in security. For over 40 years, he ranged from private security to head of security at casinos, like the Mirage and the Bellagio. Paul didn't just see his job as a means to a paycheck. He put his entire heart and soul into it, even helping talk down struggling individuals with incredible patience and kindness, never wanting anyone to feel they were alone in their darkest moments.

Paul loved his games and was always playing something. Whether he was playing was on his phone, tablet or online, he made many long lasting friendships with people from all over. In fact, he met the love of his life, Patricia, through an online Texas Hold'em game he played, back in the MySpace days while Patricia was going through chemo and they ended up falling in love. He also had an intense love for music. It was one of his deepest passions. He was a lover of all types, whether it be country, blues, soul, R&B, rap or even metal. He was a fan of any music that spoke to his soul. He always had to take his pre-drive prep time to make sure he had just the right music for the ride.

Though the pain of his passing has had a remarkable impact on his friends and family, Paul's loss will be felt most deeply by his best friend and life partner, his wife of 16 years, Patricia Peretic. They had the love that many people go their whole lives searching for. A love that healed and fueled growth. A love that was kind and patient. A love that trancended loss and tragedy, sickness and health. The good times and the bad. A love that was safe, that was unbreakable.

He made many long lasting friendships with people from all over.

He now joins both of his parents, Chris and Diana Peretic, other family members, as well as many of his friends, whom he loved dearly, that were taken too soon. The family takes solace in the fact that he is in good company up in heaven.

Paul is survived by his loving wife Patricia Peretic, his daughter Sophia Bryant, his cherished grandson Nikolai Milan Bryant, his son-in-law Casey Bryant, his aunt Juanita Kaveney and cousin Tara Kaveney.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 25, 2026 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am (PST) at Davis Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6200 S Eastern, Las Vegas, NV 89119

Burial to proceed at 10:40 am (PST) at SN VA Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial, Boulder City, NV 89005
