Petra Herrera, a devoted woman of faith, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, at the age of 78. She has left behind a legacy of deep faith, love, and devotion to God.

Petra was born on August 1, 1947, in La Purísima, Durango, Mexico. It was there that she met the love of her life, Lorenzo. Their love grew into a lifelong partnership built on faith and dedication to proclaim the word of God. Lorenzo preceded her in death 20 years ago, but their bond and the life they built together remained a cherished part of her story.

Above all else, Petra was a woman of unwavering faith. Her love for God shaped every part of her life. She believed firmly in placing God above all things and spent her lifetime preaching and proclaiming the Word of the Lord. Sharing her faith with others was not simply something she did --it was who she was. Through her words, prayers, and example, she encouraged countless people to trust in God and walk in faith.

Petra is survived by her three children, Rocio, Noe, and Marilu. She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren: Elexyz, Connie, Vianca, Gabriela, Cristian, Julian B., Sergio, Estevan and Julian C. and a treasured great-grandmother to twelve great grandchildren: Valentina, Paulina, Khyler, Santino, Luna, Cruz, Nora, Mila, Elliana, Lorenzo, Luke, and Lennox. Her family brought her pride and joy, and she cherished the moments spent with them.

Those who knew Petra will remember her for her strong spirit, her compassionate heart, and the unwavering faith that guided her through every season of her life. She lived with purpose, always seeking to serve God and uplift those around her. Petra's life was a testament to faith, humility and devotion.

Though her family grieves her passing, they find comfort in knowing she has gone home to be with the Lord and to be together with the love of her life, Lorenzo.

Petra Herrera will be deeply missed and forever honored for the faith, love, and strength she shared with all who were blessed to know her.

Petra Herrera, una devota mujer de fe, falleció en paz el 5 de Marzo de 2026, a la edad de 78 años. Deja un legado de profunda fe, amor y devoción a Dios.

Petra nació el 1 de Agosto de 1947 en La Purísima, Durango, México. Fue allí donde conoció al amor de su vida, Lorenzo. Su amor creció hasta convertirse en una unión de toda la vida, cimentada en la fe y en la dedicación a proclamar la palabra de Dios. Lorenzo falleció hace 20 años, la unión que compartieron y la vida que construyeron juntos siguieron siendo una parte inolvidable su historia.

Por encima de todo, Petra fue una mujer de fe profunda. Su amor por Dios dio forma a cada parte de su vida. Creía firmemente en poner a Dios por encima de todas las cosas y dedicó su vida a predicar y proclamar la Palabra del Señor. Su familia le daba orgullo y alegría, y valoró cada momento compartido con ellos.

Quienes conocieron a Petra la recordarán por su espíritu fuerte, su corazón compasivo y la fe inquebrantable que la guió en cada etapa de su vida. Vivió con propósito, buscando siempre servir a Dios y levantar el ánimo de quienes la rodeaban. La vida de Petra fue un testimonio de fe, humildad y devoción.
