Randy was born at Plentywood Memorial Hospital to Jonathan and Linda Black. Randy learned how to ride a motorcycle when he was 4. Grampa Bob would get rides from Randy on his motorcycle and be amazed that he didn't have to help him maneuver it. Randy was in Boy Scouts and later participated in bareback riding in local rodeos. Randy got his GED and met the love of his life, Hope Torgerson. Randy and Hope had two boys Jesse and Domonic Black and his children were most important to him. Randy also has a daughter Kayden Johnson who he was very proud of. Randy worked on the oil rigs, tire shop, and Kanning Concrete.

Proceeded in death his Uncle Andy who he always went to for comfort. Also proceeded in death a close cousin Travis Fowler, Grandmother Viola Lizotte, Grandmother Fern Greff, step Grandfather Don Greff.

Survivors include: sons Jesse Black, Domonic Black, and daughter Kayden Johnson. Father Jon Black, Mother Linda Moberg, and stepfather Mark Moberg. Grandfather Robert Fowler. Siblings: Michelle Black, Jennifer and Casey Black, Jon Black Jr., Gina and Rod Snyder, Candice and Ty Tlustosch, Liselle and Kyle Reed, Ethan and Keturah Moberg. Also aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces.
