Remembering Regina “Gina” Penn

Regina “Gina” Penn, daughter, sister, auntie and devoted friend of many, transitioned on Friday, May 10th, 2019 at her home in Las Vegas, NV. Regina bravely battled appendiceal cancer and the destructive side-effects of treatment for several years before succumbing to complications.

After several years as an out-going team member of the “Magic Kingdom”, Gina fell in love with the world of beauty and fashion. She spent the next 20 years “ruling” as a well-respected cosmetic expert for several high-end retailers, with her final reign being at Barney’s New York in Las Vegas.

Regina loved all things fashion and beauty with a special affinity for designer shoes and handbags. An avid shopper, Gina truly believed in the power of “retail therapy”. She loved coming home to stacks of packages on her doorstep as well as sending generous gifts to others.

Regina leaves behind her parents, Wanda and Jim Moore of Tucson AZ, sister, Seleena Penn of San Francisco CA, brother, Jevon Moore, Sister in Law, Candy Moore, nephew, Jeylen Moore of Tucson AZ,  aunts, Janet White of Brunswick, GA, Minnie Moore of Anniston AL, uncles, Gary Lang, Major Lang of Brunswick GA, Vernon J Owens of Savannah, GA, Bobby Moore of Lanette, AL, in addition to a host of cousins, and close friends all over the country.

A celebration of Regina’s life will be held at Davis Funeral home – Rainbow Chapel in Las Vegas on Sunday, June 16th, 2019 at 2PM, immediately followed by a reception.

An internment service will also be held at East Lawn Palm Mortuary & Chapel in Tucson on Thursday, June 20th, 2019 at 4PM immediately followed by a reception.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Regina’s memory to the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center, Women of Color Heart Health Education Fund.

The family encourages you to spend quality time with your loved ones, take a moment to sit outside and relax, make a toast to enduring friendships lifelong and beyond and when you find the perfect shoes on sale and in your size, buy them! That is what Gina would wish.
