Robert F. Botten Jr., (Bob) born January 4, 1949, previously from Avon Lake Ohio and Alamogordo NM, passed away suddenly on April 5, 2026, in Henderson, Nevada.

Bob is survived by his daughters Kelly A White and Jennifer L Haley, His mother Marian Botten and his siblings Peggy Thorpe and Frank Botten. Bob is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bob is predeceased by his father Robert F Botten Sr. and his sister, Shirley Botten.

Bob grew up in Avon Lake Ohio and then served as an air traffic controller in Vietnam. He retired from the Air Force in 1991 in Alamogordo New Mexico where he had been stationed for many years.  He then moved to Henderson Nevada because as he said "you don't need to shovel sunshine".

Services will be held on Monday July 13 2026 at 8:40 AM at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive Boulder City, NV 89005
