Rodger E. Owens

Rodger Eugene Owens, 81, of Las Vegas, passed away on May 8, 2019 in Las Vegas.
Rodger was born in Decatur, IL to Virgil and Bessie Owens on December 18, 1937.
Rodger served in the USMC in his early age and then came to Las Vegas from CA in 1967 with his wife Alberta Owens. He owned his own window washing company, water truck business then worked at the Frontier Hotel before he joined and retired from Teamsters Local 631. While with Local 631 he worked for Southern NV Paving/Aggregate and Las Vegas Paving.
Rodger is preceded in death by his father Virgil Owens, mother Bessie Owens and brother Donald Grover Owens.
Rodger is survived by his wife of over 50 years Alberta Owens, daughter June with her husband William Bridges and Junes son Dalton Henson; daughter Shannon and her husband Michael Bernard and their daughter Jessica and son Justin; daughter Stephanie and her husband Dan Wolski with son Michael J.E. Forrest, daughter Monique Lirette, daughter Hannah and son Peyton. Brothers, Jack Owens and Gary Owens along with many nieces and nephews.
Special thank you to one of Rodger's longtime friend Arlie Daniels; Rodgers niece Debbie and her husband Kevin Dennis and niece Kim Gannon; in home healthcare nurses Liz Baptist, Kristen Karie-Fenton, Danielle Dye and Dr. Shurtleff. You took very good care of our Dad for us.
