Roger Jackson Peeples February 16, 1949 – August 5, 2025

Roger Jackson Peeples, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on February 16, 1949, to Marie and Lewis in Brigham City, Utah, Roger spent most of his life in Henderson, Nevada, where his presence left a lasting mark on the community and in the lives of those who knew him.

Roger was a man of integrity, loyalty, and humor—qualities that shone through in his family life, career, and community service. He is survived by his devoted wife, Debra Louise Peeples, and their children: Alicia, Julie-Ann, Aaron, Melody, Ammon, Angelina, and Shellie-Ann. He also leaves behind a loving legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and countless friends.

As a child, Roger spent many happy hours with his Grandpa George and Grandma Julia. He bravely faced polio at a young age and underwent surgery on his leg when he was just 7 years old. Growing up in a large family, he was always encouraged to participate in church and community activities, and from an early age, he developed a deep love for family.

Roger’s life exemplified dedication and service. As a devoted servant of God, he completed a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in England and stayed a faithful member throughout his life. He supported his family as an Inside Wireman with IBEW Local 357, passionately advocating for his fellow workers and often bringing his children to join picket lines, instilling in them the values and solidarity of the union.

Outside of work, Roger’s adventurous spirit drew him to the outdoors—hiking, camping, and exploring. He loved his involvement in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, where he mentored youth with the same dedication he gave to his own family. Above all, he treasured time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always finding ways to make them laugh with his wild stories (which, alarmingly, were almost always true).

Roger was a fiercely loyal man who took pride in doing what was right according to his own values. If someone needed help, he was always there, following through. He adored his wife, Debra, and worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He raised his children to be strong, independent, and principled, instilling in them the importance of integrity, hard work, and family.

Roger’s life will be celebrated on Monday, August 18, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel, 303 Cholla Street, Henderson, NV 89015. A viewing will be held at 12:00 PM, followed by the service at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place the same day at 3:00 PM at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
