Roland Kent

Our Beloved Roland Richard Kent - born May 19, 1960, in Bitburg, Germany - unexpectedly passed away the morning of March 1, 2023, in his Boulder City, NV home. He is survived by his wife Cynthia (Krause); his parents Madeline (Colleen) Timney and Joseph Cameron Kent; his brothers, Timothy (Dennis) and Jeffrey (Perris); his son Joseph (Gianna); his daughter Kristen (Clint); his four grandchildren Fallon, Haisley, Kacen, and Ryker; his Uncle Roland (Peggy); and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Roland spent the majority of his life as a Las Vegas, NV resident from 1961-2016. He attended Chaparral High and entered the construction trades as a young man and began working as a union carpenter. In 1991, he helped build one of Las Vegas' largest local construction companies, MJ Dean Construction, as the Vice President. He was a go-getter and a motorsport enthusiast. When he wasn't working, you could find him off-roading, racing, boating, golfing, driving his sports cars, or in his garage building race cars. He started Roland Kent Motorsports and sponsored several winning cars and drivers. When Roland retired at the age of 55, he began spending most of his time in Lake Havasu City, AZ, where he eventually moved to in 2016.

Roland and Cynthia spent their lives adventuring together and living life to the fullest. He inspired many people through his hard work and 'take no shit' attitude. He remained close to the mother of his children, Linda, and was a mentor to many. He will be greatly missed by all those who were lucky enough to know him. He leaves behind a lasting legacy we are proud of.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Presbyterian Church located at 8601 Del Webb Blvd. A Celebration of Life will be from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at Spanish Trail Country Club at 5050 Spanish Trail Lane.
