Rory graduated from Hillcrest High School in Midvale, UT, where he excelled in building and racing cars. After graduating from high school, he attended Ford Motor School. His love for muscle cars and auto mechanics was a great benefit to many throughout his life. Rory’s remarkable career in construction started with working with his father who was a glazier while still in high school, and continued after high school and throughout his entire life. Rory’s early career included building track houses, road construction and traffic light installation, commercial construction, government and public works projects, airport construction, and custom homes. Rory also held a General Contractor’s license in Utah for many years where he completed many public works projects, small commercial project and custom homes. After relocation to Las Vegas in 1989, he joined the Carpenter’s Union, and continued to work in construction industry where he had the opportunity to build and place concrete on many jobs throughout Nevada, Southern California, and Arizona. He worked with Isaac Construction in the field and as concrete estimator until June 2011; and joined The PENTA Building Group in 2011 where he continued to specialize as a concrete estimator.

Rory loved his family fiercely and unconditionally, especially his children and grandchildren, and loved spending time with his family at home, in the mountains, or in the water. He loved to tinker in the garage and could fix almost anything there was that needed repairs, and design and build any projects for his family and friends. He loved football and was very passionate about the Minnesota Vikings – winning or losing! He loved hunting, fishing and guns. Rory was a remarkable teacher and mentor to his family and co-workers. He was our protector, and loved to make us all smile and laugh.
