Salvatore Durazzo

Salvatore Durazzo, 76, of Monte Di Procida, passed away on August 21, 2018 in Henderson.
Salvatore was born in Naples Italy to Michael and Amelia Durazzo on June 24, 1942.
As many of you are aware, our beloved Father/Patriarch/Loving husband had passed away suddenly early this morning. The love he gave his family, friends and community was unconditional. He had this amazing ability to share his wisdom through the stories he told, and never missed an opportunity to apply his life lessons to a current issue. He gave everyone so much to remember, and yet our story with him was not complete. We all miss you so much.
He attended school for a brief period growing up in Naples Italy. Leaving Italy at a young age to come to America and better himself he later met Connie Vento at the age of 22 and knew she was the one to spend the rest of his life with and build his legacy. Married in 1966 to Connie Vento (to be named Connie Durazzo) they spent the next 52 years as loving husband and wife with also giving life to four sons Michael, Frankie and twin boys Anthony/Bruno. He began his pizza career/legacy at the young age of 14 years old and continued doing what he loved until his final days at the age of 76 years old. He served the Las Vegas community for the last 34 years with his first pizzeria being Villa Pizza in 1984 and then finally creating Sal's Pizza Henderson in 2004. Sal's Pizza continues to live strong today. Sal has worked tirelessly to provide the best experience for all who came to visit him and bring home a pie. He has also provided a comfortable lifestyle for his family through his hard work.
Salvatore is preceded in death by Louis Durazzo(brother), Josephine Scotto (Sister), Antonio Durazzo(brother), Amelia Durazzo(mother), and Michael Durazzo (Father)
Sal is Survived by Connie Durazzo(wife), Michael (son) and family /Barbara/Nicholas/Alyssa, Frankie son and daughter Violet, Anthony (son), Bruno (son) and family Angelina/Bria/Victoria/Luciano/Salvatore Jr. He is also survived by his brothers Neil and family/ Bennie and family/ Frankie and family/ and his sister Maria and family. Lastly, he is also survived by his loving brother in law and longtime business partner Carmine Vento and loving sister in law Ann Vento and family.
Viewing will be 1:00p.m. to 7:00p.m Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at Davis Funeral Homes
Funeral Services will be held 12:00p.m. Wednesday August 29,2018 at Davis Funeral Homes with Father Joe of St. Francis Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Davis Funeral Home. Arrangements are made by Davis Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Durazzo and Vento Children
