Sean Brand, age 18, was born on December 27, 2007, in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated with the Francis Howell North High School Class of 2026 before moving with his family to Nevada, where he was excited to begin classes at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in just a few weeks.

Sean passed away on the morning of July 24, 2026, in Nevada.

Sean planned to major in Journalism and Creative Media at UNLV. His dream was to one day work as a cameraman covering professional and national sports. A lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, he looked forward to combining his love of sports with his passion for storytelling through video.

One of Sean's greatest passions was creating and editing videos. Through his online presence as MarioGamerGuru, he enjoyed sharing gaming content, expressing his creativity, and connecting with others who shared his interests. Whether he was behind a camera, editing footage, or creating content, Sean found joy in bringing stories to life.

While in high school, Sean was an active member of the Esports team, We Are Knights, Boy Scouts, Special Olympics of Missouri (Track and Field) and participated in the Journalism program for two years. These activities reflected his love of technology, teamwork, and media production.

Sean was a quiet, kind, and determined young man who faced many challenges throughout his life, including autism, other medical conditions, and bullying. Despite these obstacles, he demonstrated remarkable perseverance and resilience. He graduated from Francis Howell North with a 3.48 GPA, earned 28.5 high school credits, and completed three college credits that were set to transfer to UNLV. His accomplishments reflected his dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to achieving his goals.

Sean is survived by his loving mother, Nicole Sutton of Nevada; his father, Rick Brand of St. Louis, Missouri; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins in Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilda and Bud Lajeunesse, and his grandfather, Donald Gee.

Sean will be remembered for his gentle heart, quiet strength, creativity, and determination. His love for the St. Louis Cardinals, journalism, video editing, gaming, and creating content as MarioGamerGuru brought him great happiness and gave him a way to share his talents with the world. Though his life was far too short, the memories he created and the lives he touched will remain with his family and friends forever. His courage in overcoming life's challenges and pursuing his dreams will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.
