Susan Greenberg
Sylvis
Nov 2, 1943 — Oct 2, 2026
Las Vegas, Nevada
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beautiful mother Susan. She fought a tough fight all the way until the end. She was diagnosed in June with Creutzfeldt-Jakob (Prions Disease) which is a terminal neurodegenerative disease which presents as an aggressive form of dementia/Alzheimer's. This came after many months of doctor appointments and endless testing. Unfortunately it is a very rare disease with no treatment or cure.
I am very grateful for my family. We are a very strong, loving and united bunch thanks to mom, and I know we all made her very proud, and did everything we could to make her comfortable until the end.
Thank you for all the support and prayers we received this past year as we fought this battle.
My mom passed peacefully on 10/2/26. She was surrounded by her most cherished gifts, her four children - Tom, Megan, Sara and myself, whom she loved unconditionally. She left behind 11 wonderful Grandchildren - all of which she was incredibly proud of. Alexandra, Cassidy (Cody), Ryan (Emily), Andrew (Sidney), Gus, Makayla, Dylin, Gavin, Sadie, Hunter and Holden, as well as several grand pups and cats - Hazy, Biscuit, Moon, Angus, Guinness, Brix, Bella, Kenny, Casper and Burger.
The four of us are fortunate to have incredible spouses in which mom embraced as her own - Jimmy, Christine, Burk and Colt. She was at peace knowing we each had a wonderful partner in life to love us and take care of us when she left. Mom also leaves behind her brother Norman and his wife Judi, Sister-in-laws Kathy, Peggy and Beverly and her husband Nate, brother-in-law Jim and wife Kalet, Cousins Rayni, Lori, Barry and Ava, her Best friend of 70 years Phyliss along with several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews we were fortunate to see and re-connect with in the past few years. Special love also to cousin Nancy too!
You are reunited with Daddy now ❤️. You will always be with us in our hearts, and don't worry I will continue to talk to you all the time like I talk to Daddy so don't forget to throw out the occasional sign you are listening like he does.
You were truly the best Mother and Grandmother anyone could ask for. Thank you for guiding all of us and making us the strong & loving people we are today. I promise you I will keep us together and watch over our family as you would.
Until we see each other again.. Rest easy. Love you Mama ❤️🌈🌈
