Thomas "Buddy" Alton Green

Thomas Alton (Buddy) Green, Jr. died Friday, September 21, 2018. He was 92 years old. Thomas was born February 12, 1926 in Memphis, Tennessee to Thomas Sr. and Florene Green. One of five children Thomas joined the Navy in 1944. He spent two years on a naval ship before being honorably discharged. He then spent two years in the Coast Guard, stationed in California and Oregon. He finally settled in Salinas, California where he met and married his wife Barbara Dell Westmoreland. Thomas worked in security till he retired in 1989. Thomas and his wife traveled the United States until they settled down in Searchlight, Nevada. Thomas is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara and son, Darryl Ray Green.
Thomas is survived by his sons and their wives, Kenneth W. and Lee Ann Green and Thomas A. Green, III and Debora Green; seven grandchildren, Kristen P. Plaster, Kari A. Carrington, Kenneth W. Green, Jr., Melissa R. and husband Aaron Pike, Erin Green, Patrick Green and Quinn (John Quinlan) Green; great grandchildren, including Leia A. O'Brien, Kasee M. Plaster, Timothy M. Plaster and Mason Wood and nieces and nephews and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, October 8, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89119. Burial will be at noon that day at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd, Boulder City, NV 89005. A reception follows at Highland Hills Baptist Church, 615 College Drive, Henderson, NV 89002.
