Thomas Lara

November 22, 1994 — July 17, 2025

Las Vegas, Nevada

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Thomas Lara, who left this world on July 17, 2025, in Arizona at the young age of 30. Born on November 22, 1994, in Laredo, Texas, Thomas’s vibrant spirit touched all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Thomas graduated Canyon Springs High School, where he laid the foundations of friendships and unforgettable memories. He cherished the nights spent around the strip with family, full of laughter and the customary cursing, as they watched planes ascend into the starry sky. These moments, along with the cherished tradition of playing football almost every Thanksgiving with his siblings.

Thomas was a true outdoorsman at heart, Thomas found joy in nature when the family would go up to the mountains to down by the lakes. He thrived during cookouts, where his charisma shone bright, and he could often be found grilling for family and friends, he really loved his hot links and twisted teas. He would fix family and friends' cars often and would lend a hand, whether it was a car issue or any problem that needed fixing. Thomas was always there, ready to help anyone in need.

His love for his children—Aidan, Luna, Elliana, and Raymundo—was profound. He lost touch with his firstborn son but spoke of him and missed him all the time. He dedicated much of his time to his wife, April, and their three children.

Thomas leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife, April Morales, who stood by his side through every joy and challenge. He is survived by his mother, Rosalinda Gonzalez Gomez, and father, Juan Gomez Jr. He is also remembered fondly by his siblings: Janie Gomez (Corey Tena), Miguel Lara, Gloria Gomez, Abigal Gomez, Chino Gomez, and Sofia Gomez. Additionally, he is survived by three nephews Corey Tena Jr., Levi Tena, and Andrew Laredo. His godfather, Victer Vasquez, four uncles, three aunts, and numerous cousins, all of whom will miss him dearly.

He is now reunited in eternal peace with his beloved grandmother, Rosalinda Vasquez Gonzalez; grandfather, Juan Gomez Sr.; Tio Samule Gomez; and godmother Chello Vasquez.

Thomas, your journey here may have ended, but you will never be forgotten, and your memory will live in our hearts forever.
We love you, Thomas. This is not goodbye.
