In Loving Memory of Travis Wayne Harper

Travis Wayne Harper, a beloved father and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2026, at the age of 68. He was born on January 8, 1958, in Fordyce Arkansas, to Clemmie Harper and Edith Doris Jones.

Travis was admired for his strong work ethic and lifelong commitment to public service, dedicating 33 years to the public sanitation sector, where he earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike.

In his youth, he played football at the University of Nevada, Reno for a short brief of time. Though an injury ended his athletic career, he carried the discipline and resilience he gained on the field throughout his life.

Above all, Travis was devoted to his family. He especially cherished attending his children’s sporting events and creating lasting memories with loved ones. He also enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and time spent with cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edith Doris Jones and Clemmie Harper, and his sister, Cecelia Jean Harper.

He is survived by his sons, Cameron Harper and Brandon Harper; Aunt Corine Dupree and Aunt Lorrine Scott; and a host of cousins, relatives, and dear friends who will remember his kindness, strength, and love.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers, and support received during this time. Travis’s legacy of dedication, family devotion, and love of life will live on in all who knew him.
